John Cockerill Defense

Invest India supported John Cockerill Defense in advancing its manufacturing plans in India by providing strategic guidance on the country's defence procurement framework and facilitating engagement with key government stakeholders. The team worked closely with the company to address queries related to the Defence Acquisition Procedure (DAP) 2020, including procurement categories, intellectual property provisions and contractual requirements for the Light Tank Project being executed with DRDO and L&T.

In addition, Invest India facilitated interactions with state investment agencies to support the establishment of the manufacturing facility in Maharashtra. These efforts contributed to the incorporation of the joint venture between John Cockerill Defense and Electro Pneumatics & Hydraulics Pvt. Ltd., with the manufacturing facility currently being established at Chakan Industrial Area, Pune, strengthening India's indigenous defence manufacturing capabilities.
