Invest India supported Herrenknecht AG in expanding its manufacturing operations in India by providing strategic guidance throughout the location assessment and investment process. Invest India conducted comparative assessments of potential investment locations across Tamil Nadu, Odisha, Maharashtra and Gujarat, providing guidance on industrial infrastructure, site options, incentives and state policies.

The team also facilitated high-level engagements with the Ministry of Railways, DPIIT and relevant state authorities to support the company's investment plans. After Tamil Nadu was selected, Invest India continued to coordinate with government stakeholders to expedite the project and identify suitable alternative land options when the company's initially preferred site became unavailable. These efforts contributed to the successful acquisition of 13 acres of land near Chennai for the company's new manufacturing and servicing facility.
